Terms and Conditions of Business

1. Any complaint concerning condition of stock should be notified within 7 days and confirmed in writing.
2. Trade accounts must be settled within 30 days. Thereafter 5% per month will be added.
3. We accept payment by cash, cheque and card, though credit cards attract a 1.5 % surcharge.
4. Payment on collection is required on all orders, other than for those trade customers with an arranged trading account.
5. Orders for delivery will be paid in full in advance, other than for those trade customers with an arranged trading account.
6. Non-trade orders in excess of £500 will require a 20% nonrefundable deposit.
7. All prices quoted are exclusive of delivery and VAT. VAT will be charged at the appropriate rate at the time of sale.
8. We reserve title to all stock until paid for in full. In the case of nonpayment, stock will be recovered and should be in good order.
9. We will replace losses on orders where we feel there is justification and the customer has followed the directions in our planting guide. We will not be held responsible for the effects of weather and bad practice by the customer.

Delivery Details

1. There is a minimum order of £100 net for delivered orders. Any orders of less than £100 will have to be collected from the nursery.
2. Within a 50 mile radius of the nursery, delivery is carried out with our own vehicle and charged on a sliding scale dependent on distance.
   (There is no limit on plant size).
3. Within mainland England and Wales, deliveries of most orders is by overnight freight and is charged at 30% of the net cost of the order.
   (We cannot deliver larger than a 6ft tall plant or a 5 litre pot).
4. Delivery to Scotland, Ireland and the Channel Islands is by 2/3 day freight and is calculated individually. (Size limit as in item 3).
5. Large orders within the Midlands and Southern England can be arranged with a contract haulier and are priced individually.
   (There is no size limit on plants).
6. For all orders delivered from the nursery we reserve the right to charge a fuel levy should there be a large increase in petroleum costs.

N.B We realise the cost of delivery is high, but make no apology. Our trees are high quality and we pack them to a high specification to ensure they arrive in excellent order. We make no profit from the delivery charges.
