Brilliant Autumn Colour into November

This autumn so far has been a feast of colour once the nights cooled slightly and it looks like this will continue for a few weeks. The Home page image is the flamboyant scarlet oak Quercus coccinea. We have also had a spectacular display from the liquidambers - see Liquidamber styraciflua 'Worplesden' second image below. Also some of the poplars have been showing good colour for a number of weeks already, such as Populus tremula 'Pendula' immediately below.
